We are delighted to confirm that CELT – Centre for English Language Teaching has been awarded "Highly Trusted Status" (HTS) with the UK Border Agency (UKBA). This recognises sponsors who are achieving the highest level of compliance required by UKBA.
CELT's Principal, Greg Nelson, felt that UKBA's decision is a validation of CELT's emphasis on quality of service, saying: "We are delighted that CELT has achieved HTS recognition and would like to thank our admin and teaching staff for the hard work they have put in to help the school gain this status."
Certain categories of student who want to study in the UK must apply for educational visas under Tier 4. The Border Agency has three categories of licence, 'A', 'B' and 'Highly Trusted' which they give to institutions who issue CAS numbers (Confirmation of Acceptance to Study). The 'Highly Trusted' category was introduced to identify those institutions who have the highest levels of compliance with their sponsor obligations, and whose students are showing the greatest compliance with the terms of their visa or permission to stay.
