Mohammed travelled to the UK from Kuwait with the dream of becoming an electrical engineer. Continue reading to find out how studying English at CELT is helping him to achieve his dreams!


Growing up in Kuwait, Mohammed enjoyed repairing electronic devices. He dreamt of becoming a specialist in electronics and wanted to become an electrical engineer.

To study at university, Mohammed needed to to take an IELTS exam.

Studying English

Mohammed enrolled on the course and began studying at CELT in Summer 2018. He progressed from an intermediate level to advanced – and he was ready to take his IELTS test!

Thanks to his hard work and dedication to his studies at CELT, Mohammed achieved the grade he needed to get into Manchester Metropolitan University.

Starting University

On Monday 9th September 2019, Mohammed began at Manchester Metropolitan studying a foundation degree in Science and Engineering. After that, he will progress on to his bachelor’s degree to become an electrical engineer like he always dreamed!
