Two students who studied at CELT Language School and who made Cardiff their home have totally transformed a large building on Crwys Rd. into ‘Rhostio’, a designer coffee shop in a bustling part of the city.
After years of remaining empty and sadly neglected, the building has been given a new lease of life. Split over three levels it has its own roastery at the lowest level (Moy Road) and a café on Crwys Road with a rooftop terrace on top where people can relax and enjoy the views on sunny days in the city!
Rhostio @ 16c Crwys Road was opened on June 7 by Tunahan Kirktepeli (left) and Fatih Tosun (right) and is the latest trendy coffee shop to open in the city.
The location of the café is situated next to one of the stops on the forthcoming South Wales Metro which is planned in 2023.
We are really proud to see former students taking the initiative to set up a new business during the middle of a pandemic and would like to wish Tunahan and Fatih all the best in their new venture.
We will certainly be recommending the new establishment to our students!
