2019 has been a momentus year to celebrate at CELT – Centre for English Language Teaching.

Celebrating 30 Years
This year we have celebrated 30 years of excellence in English language teaching with our students, homestay providers and staff.

blog: celt turns 30!British Council Inspection
The British Council inspect all accredited schools every four years. We were happy to welcome them to the school in March.
Young Learners’ Centre
During the Summer and Autumn terms, we welcomed over 460 students from 10 different countries to study English on our Holiday Language Course and Closed Group courses.
Occupational English Test Premium Provider Status
This Autumn, CELT proudly became one of only 30 Occupational English Test (OET) Premium Preparation Providers in the world as well as the first and only Premium Preparation Provider in Cardiff and Wales.
C2 Proficiency Preparation
In Autumn, 4 English Teachers from Russia joined us to prepare for their C2 Proficiency Exam (formerly, Cambridge English: Proficiency).

Learn English in Wales Conference
At the end of November, students and staff members from CELT attended the LEW Conference at Cardiff Met. Both our Director of Studies, Mike, and Director of Marketing, Neil, gave well-received talks at the conference.

Homestay Evening
On Friday 6 December 2019, we celebrated our 30th anniversary by welcoming our homestay providers to our Young Learners’ Centre.
Christmas Celebrations
To celebrate the end of the term, we hosted a Christmas party in the last week of term.
We ordered pizza and provided traditional Christmas treats whilst playing games and enjoying Christmas music!
