Originally from San Francisco, USA, Grace started her teaching career in Italy.

Mike Burden
Director of Studies

Mike qualified in 2002 and has taught in China and Saudi Arabia. He plays guitar and is a Liverpool fan for his sins.

Academic Projects Development Manager

Neil is a diploma qualified teacher and teacher trainer with over 25 years of experience in ELT. He once taught the finance director of ABBA.

Accommodation Organiser

Alyssia has taught in the USA and started with CELT as a teacher on our Young Learner courses. Her greatest pleasure is chocolate.

Admin Assistant

Chen is from the USA and now lives in Wales. She is a passionate lover of coffee and her favourite band is Pink Floyd.

Marketing and Admin Officer

Eli is from Czech Republic and is a well-travelled linguist. She is obsessed with yellow and loves posting letters.

Celine Maasland
International Marketing Officer

A speaker of several languages and holder of even more passports, Celine represents CELT at marketing events around the world. She is an avid fan of Haribo.

Admin Assistant

Molly is currently reading Sports Studies at university. She loves cricket and is the queen of Instagram.

Rachael Argyle

Rachael has taught in many countries including Italy, Czech Republic, and Finland. She loves literature and is super fast on a scooter.

Andrew Higgins

Andrew has been teaching for over 20 years. He has an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and a DELTA. He loves rambling in the countryside and Georgian grammar.

Sally Kim

Sally has taught in Spain, Czech Republic, and South Korea. She loves teaching lower levels. She also plays the piano and is keen on crosswords.

Simon Parker

Simon has taught in Japan and Turkey. A true Welshman, he is a lover of fine ales and rugby.

Heledd Owen

Heledd is from Cardiff and has been teaching English for over two years. She loves dogs, but has recently adopted an angry cat.

Deb has worked as a violinist in Italy, Switzerland and the UK. She loves languages, travelling, trying different foods and until recently ran a wood-fired pizza business.
