Refresh, learn, and develop

CELT’s teachers’ courses meet the professional needs of teachers who teach English or who use English as a language of delivery in their classes.

Our courses for teachers are offered face-to-face, online, or as blended solutions. We offer refresher courses at set dates throughout the year and bespoke, on-demand programmes for schools, training companies, universities, and overseas teaching organisations.

Our language teacher development refresher course for overseas teachers of English (secondary and adult) is called Achieving Success in the Language Classroom (ASLC).

We also offer a CLIL course called Achieving Success in Content and Language Integrated Learning (ASCLIL).

These courses last two weeks but we accept teachers who are only able to join a course for one week to join the first week of each two-week course.

We also offer tailor-made courses for groups of teachers who have a specific training need.

Bespoke Teachers’ Courses case study: British Council / English UK / IATEFL PRELIM project

One of our most recent projects was to develop a 6-week, fully-online, teacher development programme, for delivery on mobile phone for CABITA, the English Teacher Association in Cameroon, as part of the British Council / English UK / IATEFL PRELIM project.

This course made me new. It was such an inspiring and great experience.

English Teacher, Cameroon

Thank you for the wonderful job you did at CELT. It was a pleasure working with you.
